Spring 2024 I graduated Nursing school! I didn’t give up. I persevered every step of the way. You guys didn’t give up on me, so my deepest thanks goes to you. I am a Registered Nurse!! I promise that I will provide care with a full heart, because my help comes from the Lord. Without your help, I would not have been able to achieve this milestone. Thank you for believing in me and never giving up on me. I am grateful for your support, and although the road was very bumpy and a little longer than expected, your teams still gave me this opportunity to achieve what I have dreamed of since I was a little girl.
I will always view the Guadalupe Center as my saving grace. I was late in joining the Tutor Corps program, but in the short timeframe of my involvement, they were able to help steer and navigate me into the right path for success at a pivotal moment in high school. To this day, I credit the Guadalupe Center for providing me with the advice, guidance, and education that I needed in order to achieve the success I’ve had so far in my career. I have experienced first-hand the impact the program makes and is the reason I continue to be involved however I can.
Thank you Guadalupe Center for your unwavering support to our community’s youth. I was once a young student and teen mom with big dreams and goals to finish high school and then earn a college degree. With your help I was able to accomplish just that. I now have a Bachelor’s degree in health science and love working as a community engagement specialist for a well-known Medicaid health plan in my community.
Guadalupe is a beacon of hope to so many and that hope turns into real opportunities that end the cycle of poverty through education. It is this organization’s three-pronged support of a child’s educational experience that we feel makes a true impact — early childhood education, after-school tutoring of kindergarten to second graders to ensure their success, and mentoring high school students as they begin their lives beyond high school.
These impactful programs align with our passion to level the playing field for those who are less fortunate. Education is the first step out of poverty, secured by the confidence attained and the realization that anything is possible. Guadalupe Center’s staff, volunteers, donors, and friends all believe and work toward this. We are proud to be a part of Guadalupe Center and its mission.
Over the last few decades I have had the pleasure of seeing the immense growth of the GAP program and the positive impact it has had on so many Immokalee students.
I am a donor and have been a mentor, and I support Guadalupe Center because it starts with little children and stays with them so that what they can and do accomplish is maximized.
Join Guadalupe Center in celebrating 40 years of REALizing endless possibilities, where dreams have no limits and every student has the opportunity to create their own success. Help us inspire even more stories of transformation by making a gift to empower REAL change for generations to come!
